“Hockey is the ultimate team sport—the lifelong bonds you create with your teammates and the lessons you learn carry over to your everyday life. Mrs. Nicholson’s book does a great job illustrating those lessons.”

Marina Cohen CM: Canadian Review of Materials

“Peter Kuiksak is a believable and sympathetic character…”
“Lorna Schultz Nicholson does a solid job of placing readers inside her main character’s head, thus allowing them to experience Peter’s thoughts, desires, fears and ambition.”
“…an enjoyable read.”

“Sure to appeal to young hockey players, with its insights into the challenges boys face working their way through the minor leagues to the NHL, as well as readers who have already met Peter in the first two books, Northern Star has a place on library shelves … It does a fine job of presenting an authentic hockey setting and situation.”
